Révolution Libanaise : An 2

La révolution libanaise a un an. Elle est multi-communautaire, patriotique et érigée contre une classe politique corrompue qui a entraîné le pays dans le déclin et le chaos. Son défi aujourd’hui est de trouver une solution à l’impasse historique dans laquelle se trouve le Liban. 

Et là, force est de le constater, il n’y a point de miracle à l’horizon. La puissance militaire sur le terrain est toujours aux mains  du Hezbollah. Ce parti refuse pour l’instant de laisser tomber ses alliés parce qu’il lui servent de couverture dans son combat. C’est un parti dogmatique, fondé sur une conviction profonde que tous les maux du Liban viennent d’Israël et de l’Occident. Même la main tendue d’Emmanuel Macron n’a pas réussi à l’amadouer et ses ordres et son financement viennent en direct de Téhéran.

Une issue aurait théoriquement pu se profiler si ce parti avait changé de direction, lâché les partis traditionnels et véreux avec lesquels il était allié et tendu la main au nouveau Liban. Au lieu d’envoyer ses sbires tabasser les manifestants, il aurait pu dialoguer avec ce nouveau mouvement et avec la société civile.  Essayer de trouver un nouveau pacte national qui transcende les divisions communautaires et qui s’occupe du bien des Libanais d’abord, avant de celui des causes étrangères. Utopie sans doute. Mais qui sait? Un simple apaisement entre Iran et Etats-Unis aurait pu influencer les choses. Dommage qu’ il ne soit pas à l’ordre du jour...

L’autre voie, la seule restante, est une pression pour l’organisation d’élections législatives immédiatement et sous l’égide de l’ONU. Ces élections ne résoudraient pas tout mais elles pourraient éventuellement affaiblir voire évincer certains partis traditionnels arrimés au pouvoir et faire émerger au moins au niveau de la rue chrétienne et sunnite un mouvement nouveau et fort et un interlocuteur crédible devant le Hezbollah. Si les chrétiens et les sunnites lâchent leur vieux caïds qui les ont tous déçus et trahis, si les chiites lâchent au moins le parti Amal corrompu jusqu’à la moelle, il y a peut-être un petit espoir.

En conclusion, mes chers mouvements de la Thawra Libanaise, chers Bloc National, Beirut Madinati, Citizens in a State et tous les autres, nous vous en conjurons: nommez vite des leaders charismatiques, ambitieux et qui savent parler à ce peuple désabusé et revêche. Et faites-vite! Vous êtes déjà en campagne. 

Lebanese Revolution: Year 2

The Lebanese revolution is one year old. It is from all sects, patriotic and set up against a corrupt political class that has driven the country into decline and chaos. Its challenge today is to find a solution to the historic deadlock in which Lebanon finds itself.

And here, it is clear, there is no miracle in sight. Military power on the ground is still in the hands of Hizbullah. It refuses for the moment to let down its allies because they serve as a cover for its fight. It is a dogmatic party, founded on a deep conviction that all the evils in Lebanon come from Israel and the West. Even Emmanuel Macron's outstretched hand has failed to coax it, and its orders and funding come direct from Tehran.

Theoretically, an outcome could have been possible if this party had changed direction, let go of the traditional and shady parties with which it was allied and extended its hand to the new Lebanon. Instead of sending it’s goons to beat up the protesters, it could have engaged with this new movement and with the civil society. Trying to find a new national pact that transcends sectarian divisions and deals with the good of the Lebanese first, before that of foreign causes. Utopia, no doubt. But who knows? A simple appeasement between Iran and the United States could have influenced them. But it's not on the agenda right now ...

The other way, the only one left, is to push for the organization of legislative elections immediately and under the aegis of the UN. These elections would not solve everything, but they could possibly weaken or even oust certain traditional parties anchored in power and make emerge at least at the level of the Christian and Sunni street a new and strong movement and a credible interlocutor in front of Hezbollah. If Christians and Sunnis let go of their bosses who betrayed them all, if the Shia at least let go of the corrupt Amal party, there may be a small hope.

In conclusion, my dear movements of the Lebanese Thawra, Bloc National, Beirut Madinati, Citizens in a State and all the others, we beg you: quickly appoint charismatic, ambitious leaders who know how to speak to our disillusioned and stubborn people. And hurry! You are already in campaign

‎الثورة ‏اللبنانية: السنة الثانية

‎الثورة اللبنانية عمرها سنة. إنها متعددة الطوائف ، وطنية و رافضة للطبقة السياسية الفاسدة التي دفعت البلاد إلى ‏الانهيار والفوضى. التحدي الذي تواجهه اليوم هو إيجاد حل للمأزق التاريخي الذي يجد لبنان نفسه فيه.

‎وهنا ، من الواضح أنه لا توجد معجزة. ما زالت القوة العسكرية على الأرض بيد حزب الله. يرفض ‏هذا الحزب في الوقت الحالي أن يخذل حلفاءه لأنهم بمثابة غطاء له في معركته. إنه حزب ‏متشدد تأسس على قناعة عميقة بأن كل الشرور في لبنان تأتي من إسرائيل والغرب. حتى يد إيمانويل ماكرون الممدودة فشلت في إقناعه ، وتأتي أوامره وتمويله مباشرة من طهران.

‎من الناحية النظرية ، كان من الممكن أن ‏تتحسن الأوضاع لو غير هذا الحزب اتجاهه ، وتخلّى عن الأحزاب التقليدية ‏الفاسدة التي كان متحالفًا معها ومدّ يده إلى لبنان الجديد. بدلاً من إرسال أتباعه لضرب المتظاهرين ، كان بإمكانه الانخراط مع هذه الحركة الجديدة ومع المجتمع المدني. محاولة إيجاد ميثاق وطني جديد يتجاوز الانقسامات الطائفية ويتعامل مع مصلحة اللبنانيين أولاً قبل القضايا الخارجية . ربما  ‏كل هذا حلم و لكن من يعلم؟ مجرَد تهدئة بسيطة بين إيران والولايات المتحدة ‏تستطيع تغيير ‏اسلوب هذا الحزب. لكنها ‏بالاسف ليست ‏وارده في هذه الأيام ...

‎والطريقة الأخرى ، الوحيدة المتبقية ، هي الضغط من أجل تنظيم انتخابات تشريعية فوراً وتحت رعاية الأمم المتحدة. لن تحل هذه الانتخابات كل شيء ، لكنها قد تضعف أو حتى تطيح ببعض الأحزاب التقليدية الراسخة في السلطة وتجعل الظهور على مستوى الشارع المسيحي والسني على الأقل حركة جديدة وقوية ومحاورًا موثوقًا أمام حزب الله. إذا تخلى المسيحيون والسنة عن رؤسائهم الذين خانوهم جميعًا ، وإذا ترك الشيعة على الأقل حزب أمل الفاسد  ‏للغاية ، فقد يكون هناك بعض الأمل.

‎في الختام ، ‏إيها ‏التحركات من الثورة اللبنانية ، الكتلة الوطنية ، بيروت مدينتي ، مواطنون في دولة وكل الآخرين ، نناشدكم: ‏عينوا بسرعة ‏مسؤولين قويين وطموحين يعرفون كيف يتحدثون إلى هذا الشعب المحبط و ‏العنيد. و ‏ ‏اسرعوا! ‏الصراع الانتخابي ‏قد بدأ.
